So here I am today, waiting for the referral so I can lie in the body coffin (MRI) so they can find out if the mass on my liver is harmless or not. I read that the MRI of the abdomen and pelvis is 1 hr 15 mins. However, they do get the results quickly. Well, that sucks, but I have to do it. Cancer is more of a threat than obesity. Bummer! That’s all I can say for now.
I got a call from a nurse telling me that the abdominal ultrasound that I had early May revealed a 2 cm x 1.6 x 1.55 cm mass on my liver. ( Huh?! Why did they wait to tell me this now???) Now they want me to have an abdominal and pelvic MRI. *groan* Now I have to wait for a referral for that.
I got a voicemail from the gastroenterologist telling me the biopsy results were okay. He said “Congratulations! You can continue with the procedure!” Woohoo! I called the care coordinator back. He said they would send all my test to the clinical staff to look over.

Yay!!! I’m done with all my preop testing! When’s my surgery date gonna be, I wonder? I called the surgeon’s office to see if I could schedule surgery. The care coordinator told me, “No. The doctor has to look over all your tests and then decide if they want you have more tests.” *Womp! Womp!* That’s the sound of my heart sinking. They did not have the results of the endoscopy biopsy yet, but the endoscopy was normal.
